During the pelvic exam he asks have I noticed more discharge than usual. I said of course I've had more since becoming pregnant, nothing significant. He didn't swab anything, I have no symtoms at all and he prescribed Flagyl.How can the GYN tell if you have an infection without examining anything under the microscope? I know I will probably get some, he's the Dr. trust him answers....but it I'm honestly wondering about this. I don't want to take an antibiotic that could potentially cause a yeast infection for no reason.
