Why do people still persist in thinking their way is the best way?

hmm , that's a hard one . I think it's multiple things , people find it hard to let go of their own views because it's all they have , people become set in their ways and are afraid of what they might discover if they open their mind to new idea's but I agree there's no need to hate , it doesn't benefit you , it doesn't benefit the person/people that you hate so just don't do it .
