What snowboard should I get for my bf?

For my bf's birthday I'd really like to get him a snowboard, he loves the sport and I'm running out of ideas. He just likes to go snowboarding like once a week during the season and I want to get him something good quality and really nice..aka good brand. If you could give me some specifics that would help as I am completely clueless but wanna suprise him..is it a good idea or is it too personal of a decision for me to make for him?
