depending on cost etc you can build a retaining wall from old railway sleepers and install draincoil. draincoil comes slotted and unlslotted slotted is placed underneath the effected area (where water runoff is) and drains through soil through the slots into the pipe. The pipe is then diverted to a drain or other side of retaining wall.
